Destiny House



It takes a large group of dedicated people to make a great church. At Destiny House we have many volunteers who work hard and love passionately in many different ministries to make us great. Listed below is just a small sample of those people, our church staff.
	Steve Huskey – Lead Pastor Steve is the lead pastor of Destiny House. Through his gift to relevantly communicate, the Destiny House community is able to plainly hear God’s truth, are inspired to change, and know how to effectively apply the truth to their life. His heartbeat is for people to discover their destiny and live it passionately. In his downtime, Steve enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Shawna, and three kids, Kayla, Lauren, and Zach, basketball, and living out his alter-ego as Pastor Blaster in a game of Halo. Email: pastorsteve@destinyhouseag.org Chris Sherwood – Worship Pastor Chris is the leading voice of the Destiny House band. His passion for worship is the driving force that enables him to effectively convey the collective heart of the team. Chris is not only gifted to play music, but also to display the truth of God in his worship and daily life outside of church. His music compels people to worship God and inspires them to seek the truth and live it out. Aside from leading, Chris enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Nikki, and three awesome kids, Josette, Cade, and Jude, shredding on Guitar Hero, and listening to his iPod Touch. Email: chris@destinyhouseag.org Nikki Sherwood – Church Secretary As the church secretary, Nikki helps to keep the office staff organized and maintains the normal everyday functions that keep our busy office running smoothly. Nikki has a Child Development Associate and is currently working towards a degree in Business Management. Nikki is also passionate about building a healthy church and uses this passion to assist in various other office and church duties as needed. Outside of work and church, Nikki enjoys being a mom, a partner in ministry with her husband, Chris, beating her husband at Guitar Hero, and weekly “date night”. Email: nikki@destinyhouseag.org Barb Hicks – Financial Administrator Barb has brought a much appreciated sense of fiscal responsibility and accountability to the church’s administration. She began her employment with a great deal of financial knowledge and background having worked as a tax preparer and operated a business shared with her husband. In her free time, Barb loves to spend time with and spoil her five grandchildren. Email: bhicks@destinyhouseag.org Jenna Sherwood – Director of Student Ministries Jenna is the director of Wired Student Ministries and believes that every teenager has the potential to do great things for God. She not only believes in their potential, but loves to spend time with, invest in, minister to, and help them to grow and develop spiritually. Her main goal is to develop a ministry where students feel comfortable and accepted, can have fun, and will leave changed for the better. When she is not ministering, Jenna enjoys hanging out with friends, family, and her cat, listening to her iPod Touch, and going on vacation. Email: N/A Barb Prasco – Director of Children’s Ministries & Daycare Administrator Barb has used her extreme passion for children to make Kids for Christ an effective ministry at Destiny House. Her greatest desire is that every child will know that they are valuable, that God has a distinct plan for their life, and that even the youngest child can have a meaningful relationship with God. She loves to see children worship, grow, and take an active role in ministry. Barb has a great deal of child development knowledge and experience as she has been a preschool teacher for five years. Outside of work and church, Barb loves to spend time with her blended family that contains seven children and eleven grandchildren. Email: bprasco@destinyhouseag.org Andy Bartlomain – Director of Multimedia Ministries If it weren’t for Andy, those attending Destiny House wouldn’t be able to see or hear much of anything. Andy is the director of multimedia ministries, overseeing all audio, video, and lighting. Each week, Andy leads and trains our amazing production team who help make our environment appealing.
